Whether you are a returning Husky or new to Warren, we are thrilled to have you as members of our school community. Warren is a very special place filled with dedicated staff, empowered students, and supportive families. It is my extreme honor to serve as Warren’s Principal, where our school mission is to develop Learners and Leaders for Life.
We are extremely proud of our accomplishments, which include being named a National Blue Ribbon School, Gold Star School, and Leader in Me Lighthouse School. Additionally, Warren has also been recognized by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education as being in the top 5% of K-12 schools in Missouri. We have a lot to celebrate!
Our dedicated staff is second to none and we are committed to creating an exceptional and memorable elementary experience for all students and families. At Warren Elementary, we value our partnerships with families and the community to help support our students. Partnering is about communication and relationships. We want to honor your family’s culture, beliefs, and circumstances. We want to communicate with you about what is happening in school, but that’s only one part of effective communication. We encourage you to share your opinions, ideas, and background. We believe that partnering with families will exponentially increase the success of our students. Our top priority is to provide a sense of belonging and safety for all of our students as well as their families. Our House System allows us to ensure all students feel a sense of connection, helps our large school feel a little smaller, and creates friendly competition that motivates students. We want all of our stakeholders to know that they are an integral part of our Warren Family.
As a Leader in Me Lighthouse School, we are committed to teaching and promoting the 7 Habits, which will allow students to be more successful throughout their education, in their relationships, and in all of their future endeavors. We explicitly teach students that their best effort and goal setting directly impacts their success. We firmly believe that everyone has genius and actively look for ways to promote leadership in all aspects of our students’ lives.
We strive to provide a high-quality education and recognize the diverse needs of all of our students. We continue to find unique and creative ways to intertwine all the different components of research-based programs we use, like PBIS, the House System, and Trauma Informed Practices, to form what we call the Warren Way. When you walk into our building, we hope you will not only see evidence of leadership and empowerment on our walls and in our classrooms, but we hope you can feel it too. We take great pride in our culture and the experience we provide for all of our students and families.
We look forward to meeting you and working alongside you throughout your child’s educational journey. My door is always open and if you have any questions along the way, please do not hesitate to contact me at any time. Thank you for your partnership and ongoing support.
Assist students in reaching their academic potential by assisting families in educating, equipping, and encouraging their children to become caring, responsible and self-confident members of their communities.
As a District focused on continuous improvement, each of our 23 schools develops a site-based school improvement plan every year. The plan outlines the goals and actions the building plans to take throughout the year to improve various areas of performance.
At Warren Elementary we are Learners and Leaders for Life.
